Moshi Mythro Stylish Personal Earbuds

The product:
Moshi is probably better known for its stylish iPhone and iPad cases, but it also makes several different models of earphones with intriguing designs -- and names.

The in-ear model reviewed here, the Mythro, is named in honor of mithril, the fictional metal found in J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. Silvery in appearance, mithril is stronger than steel but considerably lighter. It's not surprising then that Moshi's Mythro Stylish Personal Earbuds are nice and lightweight. They're also comfortable, and feature excellent sound for the money, as well as an integrated microphone, making them a bargain at their price of $30.

The Moshi Keramo in-ear headphones

The product:
The earpieces themselves have a glazed finish to them and they look like polished onyx. They're a little bigger and slightly weightier than some earpieces, but they fit comfortably and securely in my ears. The build quality seems good.

The Klipsch S4i Rugged in-ear headphones

Get the headphones that gives your sound..

Well, Klipsch has apparently heard those criticisms and smartly made a tougher version that's simply called the Image S4i Rugged.
Like the original S4is, the S4i Rugged earphones, which come in blue, orange, yellow, and red, have an MSRP of $99.99, and, according to Klipsch, sound exactly the same. They also have the same Apple-friendly inline remote/microphone that probably won't fully work with many Android mobile devices. I hope Klipsch will do a non-Apple version of this product in the future.
The S4i Ruggeds have a sportier look than the original S4i earphones and have been toughened up with a sturdier cable, thicker rubber moldings, and a sweat-resistant design. Klipsch says the "all-weather design resists moisture and functions through extreme elements," which presumably means very hot and cold weather.

The advantage:
The Klipsch S4i Rugged in-ear headphones have the same impressive sound and fit as the original S4i model but they're more durable and have a sweat-resistant design. There's an integrated Apple-friendly remote/microphone and they come with a nice, compact carrying case.

The unfavorable:
While the larger remote is easier to operate by feel, it does dangle and knock around a bit when you're running; the inline remote isn't compatible with many Android smartphones.

The offer:
While serious runners may find the S4i Rugged in-ear headphones won't stay in your ears that securely, they're an excellent pair for gym and everyday use.

The Bose SIE2/SIE2i

Bose is giving another model of earphones that may fit to the need of today's listening demand.
Bose has introduced a couple of sporty in-ear models, the SIE2 and SIE2i, which are basically rugged, sweat-resistant versions of its popular IE2 earphones.
According to Bose, these guys have "acoustic ports positioned to resist sweat and water and are covered with a hydrophobic cloth to keep moisture out while letting sound pass through." Also, the inline remote and microphone included with the step-up SIE2i has "watertight button housings and a hydrophobic acoustic windscreen to reduce the effects of wind noise and moisture." It's also worth mentioning that Bose has teamed up with Reebok to include a "fitness" armband, so you can strap your phone or digital music player to your arm. But since this product hit stores before the release of the iPhone 5, that armband won't work with the latest iPhone and iPod Touch, which have longer bodies, just with earlier iPhone/iPod Touch models and other smaller smartphones and MP3 players.
