Harman Kardon BT

The product:
Harman Kardon makes a few different full-size headphones, including the Classic (CL), Noise Canceling (NC), and Bluetooth (BT). They all offer excellent sound quality and have very distinct designs, with a modern take on an old-school double headband and square earcups that harken back a little to the Bowers & Wilkins P3 and P5 headphones.

The BT model reviewed here looks almost identical to the over-the-ear NC model, but it features wireless audio streaming for smartphones and other

Monoprice Noise Canceling Headphone

The product:
This is Monoprice's M.O. It's the electronics equivalent of a generic drug company, selling much cheaper
versions of pricier name-brand products. In true Monoprice fashion, the headphones are simply called "Noise Canceling Headphone (with Active Noise Reduction Technology)." They start at around $113 if you want a single pair, but as with most Monoprice products, if you purchase them in larger quantities, the price goes down, dipping to a $100 unit price if

The Beyerdynamic T90

The product:
Introduced in 2010, the T1 has a closed-back design and features the world's most powerful headphone magnets. Those ubermagnets dramatically improve efficiency and lower distortion. Every subsequent Tesla model has had a closed-back design until the T90 reviewed here was released in June of 2012. It's the first open-back Tesla model.

The Klipsch Image X7i

The product:
The Klipsch X7i earpieces are a little smaller than the Keramo earpieces and slightly more comfortable to wear. But the $119 Keramos arguably sound as good. Both have more of an audiophile sound profile, as neither model overaccentuates the bass.

In terms of added features, the X7i model incorporates the same new flat, linguine-style cord found in the S4 II line, as well as a three-button Apple-friendly inline remote/microphone that won't fully work with most (if not all) Android mobile devices.
What it offers:
While their price is a little too steep, the X7i earphones are slick-looking and comfortable, and deliver clean, detailed sound.

The Incipio f38

What you should know:
The headband is padded well enough and covered in faux leather that looks and feels very much like faux leather. The headphones don't look cheap, though they also don't look like they cost more than $50. They come in multiple colors.

What it offers:
While they may not be truly special for their modest price, the Incipio f38s are solid, good-sounding headphones for the money.
The advantage:
The affordable Incipio f38 over-the-ear headphones feature an attractive, retro design, decent build quality, and a relatively comfortable fit, and they sound good for their modest price.
The unfavorable:
The f38s don't fold up or flat, and there's no inline remote/microphone for making cell phone calls.

The Nokia Purity Pro

What you should know:
Though not crafted from luxurious metal as is the Parrot Zik, the Nokia Purity Pro's glossy plastic surfaces create a premium and attractive appearance. Its wide, flat headband and rectangular earcups also help to give the Purity a sleek and futuristic style. At just under 10 ounces (0.62 pound), the headset is relatively light compared to the Zik's heavier frame (0.72 pound). The headphones do creak alarmingly when twisted plus its reflective skin acts as a fingerprint magnet.
The spine next to the left earcup features shuttle keys for play/pause and track forward and back. On the right sits a volume rocker to adjust headset loudness.

What it offers:
For smartphone owners who crave both active noise canceling and Bluetooth wireless audio, the Nokia Purity Pro by Monster is worth its steep price.
The advantage:
The Nokia Purity Pro by Monster headphones are light, compact, have long battery life, and provide well-balanced audio.
The unfavorable:
While the Nokia Purity Pro is sophisticated, it lacks a companion app and its noise canceling can’t be turned off.

The Logitech UE 6000 Headphones

Source
First on the list of tuned upgrades is the design. The UE 6000 are ultra-sleek, uniquely styled, and feature multiple textures of materials and finishes that not only look great, but also contribute in giving the UE 6000 their premium feeling and wow factor. Like the UE 4000, the UE 6000 are available in two different color combinations, black and white. The white model we have here is absolutely gorgeous. One would even go so far as to say that the UE 6000 are genuinely a work of art. You'll notice a modern motif of really awesome color combinations throughout the UE 6000 of vibrant blues, glossy whites and matte textured blacks. There's even a gray colored brushed aluminum inlay where the headband meets the white plastic driver enclosures, which adds that little touch of detail that displays the attention to detail and quality offered by the UE 6000.

They say don't judge a book by its cover, but you can instantly tell these headphones are super comfortable by just looking at them. And so they are. Over-ear headphones are designed to provide you with the best possible wearability and immersive sound experience, which the UE 6000 manage to fulfill these requirements and then some. The fluffy ear cushions are so full of memory foam goodness, they actually make up half of the UE6000's rather large and profound construction.

In addition to the detachable and anti-tangle free properties of the audio cable, there's also an in-line 3-button remote and mic, which is compatible with iOS devices such as the iPhone 5 to name the most relevant Apple gadget you'd be using. This is the same type of remote and mic Logitech embedded in the UE 4000, which means it's just as awesome to use and performs above expectations. Buttons are positioned in a sensible fashion with tactile feedback, and allow you to control music playback like adjusting volume, skip tracks, play and pause. You can also answer incoming calls, bring up and interact with Siri - all thru the while you have an incredibly clear and quality mic to work with.

We all expect $200 headphones to sound good if not great. And the UE 6000 satisfy that exact sweet tooth with great sound quality. As expected, the UE 6000 sound clearer and more detailed than the $100 UE 4000. The midrange also sounds better and more pronounced even though the drivers are essentially the same size at 40mm, albeit those found in the UE 6000 are apparently custom-built and tuned using lasers. Logitech claims the UE 6000 have a wide-open soundstage which isn't all too accurate when put up against the slightly superior sounding $250 TMA-1 Studio by AIAIAI. That said however, the UE 6000 do have a really clean and clear sound signature that's rich but not overly intense. These definitely have the right sound signature that'll suit just about everyone's music taste.

The RHA SA950i

What you should know:
You may have never heard of RHA -- short for Reid and Heath Acoustics products -- but it's a small Scottish headphone company that makes some pretty decent products for affordable prices.
Build quality seems good but not great. However, RHA does offer a three-year warranty on these guys, which is a couple of years longer than what you get with most headphones.

What it offers:
The RHA SA950i may not excel in any one area, it's an all-around solid on-ear headphone that won't break the bank.

The advantage:
The RHA SA950i on-ear headphones are lightweight, offer a comfortable fit (especially for on-ears), have a detachable cloth-covered cord with a built-in Apple-friendly remote and microphone, and they sound good for the money. You also get a three-year warranty.

The unfavorable:
Earcups' glossy finish may get scratched over time and the headphones don't fold up for storage.

The price:
$ 59.95

The Klipsch S4i II

What you should know:
For everyday walking around these earphones fit securely. Plenty of people used the original S4 and S4i for sporting use -- that's where they ran into some durability issues -- and this new model seems fine for a light workout, but I wouldn't count on them staying in my ears while running.

What it offers:
The Klipsch Image S4i II in-ear headphones add a new, more durable tangle-resistant flat cord while retaining their very respectable sound quality and superior comfort.

The advantage:
The Klipsch Image S4i II in-ear headphones have the same impressive sound and fit as the original S4i model but they're more durable and have a tangle-resistant flat cord. There's an integrated Apple-friendly remote/microphone and they come with a nice, compact carrying case.

The unfavorable:
Opt for other models in the S4 line if you want Android compatibility or better sweat resistance; bass lovers probably won't be satisfied by the amount of bass.
The price:
$99.00

The House of Marley's Smile Jamaica

What you should know..
The fact that these headphones are around $30. The headphones use sapele, which is a sustainable African wood used also in the manufacture of guitars. The headphone is capped by an aluminum piece (red in the case of the Rasta version), which holds the driver and ear bud in place

What it offers..
Like many celebrity-endorsed headphones, the House of Marley Smile Jamaica has a bass-heavy response, but an excellent price and build elevate it above its peers.

The benefits.
The headphones feature a microphone/single-button remote on the left earphone, and making calls and starting/stopping tracks was a breeze. Unlike the Stir It Up headphones, the cable is quite micro phonic transmitting noise into your eardrums when moving against your face or clothing.

The advantage:
The House of Marley Smile Jamaica headphones feature amazing build quality for a very small price. The bass response is full without becoming "one note" or bloated. The features are well-thought-out with a one-button mic remote, which works for iOS and Android and a fabric wrapped cord.

The unfavorable:
The bass can unduly dominate rock music or pop music. Other headphones have greater sparkle or detail. The cable can be micro phonic.

The price:
$22.49

The Polk UltraFit 3000 in-ear headphones

This UltraFit 3000s have a bendable "hook" integrated into their design that wraps around your ear, helping you get a pretty secure fit. Polk calls it SecureFit Support -- is pretty decent (yes, the UltraFit 3000s are sweatproof). It's worth pointing out that since these are "made for iPhone" earphones, the remote features (and even the microphone in some cases) won't work with many Android models (and other smartphones). Like other such three-button remotes, you tap the pause/play button two times quickly to advance a track forward and three quick taps will skip a track back.

The advantage:
The Polk UltraFit 3000 is a sports in-ear-canal model (with an around-the-ear bendable hook) that offers a sweatproof design, decent sound, and comes with a plethora of accessories, including multiple eartips and two swappable cords, including one that has an Apple-friendly remote with built-in microphone.
The unfavorable:
Not everybody will get a secure fit -- if you don't, bass response will be reduced and the earphones will sound thin.
The offer:
Since they won't fit everyone equally well, the Polk UltraFit 3000 headphones will seem great to some users and not so great to others.

The Monster iSport Immersion

The very good thing about this earphones besides its sound is, all iSport models are sweatproof and Monster says you can literally wash the earphones.

The advantage:
The Monster iSport Immersion In-Ear Headphones offer a very secure fit and impressive sound, as well as a sweatproof design and flat, tangle-resident cord. They also have an integrated iPhone-friendly ControlTalk inline remote with volume controls, and come with a nice carrying pouch.
The unfavorable:
For some people, these earphones' noise isolation may shut out too much of the outside world. Also, if you can't get a tight seal, bass response won't be as good.
The offer:
The iSport Immersion headphones rank among the best wired in-ear sports headphone models out there in terms of fit and sound quality.

The PSB M4U 2

The PSB Speakers' new $399.99 M4U 2 Active Noise Cancelling Headphones may be the company's very first pair of headphones, but the engineers' smart design choices and superior sound put the M4U 2s at the head of the pack. They're fairly compact for a full-size, over-ear design and one of the few sets that can still play music after the batteries die.

The advantage:
The PSB Speakers M4U 2 Active Noise Cancelling Headphones have really comfy earpads, keep working even after the batteries have drained, and sound great.
The unfavorable:
The M4U 2s are a bit more expensive than most top-of-the-line noise-canceling headphones.
The offer:
The PSB M4U 2 headphones combine above-average noise cancellation with excellent sound quality that's well worth the price for dedicated audiophiles looking to eliminate ambient noise.
