The 2013 Ford Flex SEL AWD

The Flex is either a gigantic wagon, a large crossover, or an SUV with lower-than-average ground clearance. Long, low, and wide, the Flex's true nature is betrayed by its underpinnings, the D4 platform, which it shares with theFord Explorer, fairly solidly planting this vehicle in the crossover class as far as I'm concerned.
The advantage:
The 2013 Ford Flex SEL AWD has plenty of space for passengers and bulky cargo, it occupy a wide range of audio sources, and you can add on a lot of driver aid and safety tech for not much more money.
The unfavorable:
The MyFord Touch system, while improved dramatically, feels slow to respond and cluttered.
The offer:
The boxy 2013 Ford Flex SEL AWD is not for everyone, but it's worth a look if you're in the market for a big vehicle with big space and plenty of available cabin tech.

The Sony Vaio Tap 20

The advantage:
By slapping a battery inside a 20-inch touch-screen all-in-one to make the Sony Vaio Tap 20, the company has given birth to a new PC category with great potential in tech-savvy homes.
The unfavorable:
The touch screen has some frustrating drag, and Sony made a few missteps among some otherwise reasonable sacrifices for portability and price.
The offer:
A compelling experiment in tablet-desktop hybridization, the Sony Vaio Tap 20 is a great fit for home tech enthusiasts willing to try something new.

The Tap 20 measures 19.75 inches wide, 12.13 inches high, and, at the thickest point of its tapered back panel, 1.5 inches deep. It weighs just under 11.25 pounds.
The 20-inch display makes sense as a way to keep the Tap 20's size and weight down, and in order to manage heat and battery life, Sony chose an ultralow-voltage 1.7GHz Intel Core i5 mobile CPU. The absence of an optical drive is conspicuous, but likely helps keep the Tap 20's thickness in check, and it's not out of keeping with other Windows 8 PCs.

The Acer Aspire M5 and V5 Ultrabooks

The Acer's Aspire M5 and V5 had been unveiled. The Aspire M5 measures under an inch thick, with a clean-lined design, wrapped in an aluminum alloy cover. At 4.6 pounds, the 14-inch M5-481PT comes in on the heavier side of the ultrabook spectrum. A $699, 15.6-inch Aspire M5-581T weighs "about 5 pounds,"
Each laptop has a standard mobile Intel Core i5 CPU, a 500GB mechanical hard drive, and, unlike Lenovo's new optical drive-free laptops, a DVD burner. If all of that sounds uninspired, each system also has a backlit keyboard, as well as a 20GB solid-state drive (SSD) included to speed boot time and improve access time to commonly launched applications
Aspire V5 notebooks run Windows 8 and have Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processors with Turbo Boost Technology 2.0, 500GB or 750GB hard drives, Intel HD Graphics 4000 and USB 3.0 ports. The 14-inch and 15-inch notebooks also have DVD drives. While they’re not exactly lightweight with each model weighing 3 pounds, 4.63 pounds and 5 pounds.
The Acer Aspire V5 Series notebooks will land U.S. and Canadian retailers on October 26th with pricing starting at $449.99 (11.6-inch), $749.99 (14-inch with touch), $499.99 (15-inch without touch) and $699.99 (15-inch with touch).

The Samsung AllShare Cast Hub

Enjoy the Samsung AllShare Cast Hub with some of  your Samsung Smartphones connected to your TV sets.
Features
The AllShare Cast Hub is a very simple accessory made to accomplish one primary task. Using Wi-Fi direct technology, it mirrors what is displayed on the Samsung handset’s screen to a compatible HDTV. The AllShare also does this in real time and without stringing wires between phone and display. The product is only compatible with Samsung’s Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note 2, and Galaxy Note 10.1 devices.
Physically setting up the AllShare was a snap. First I connected the supplied AC adapter and HDMI cable to the back of the Hub. Next I plugged the Hub’s power source to an AC outlet and then attached its HDMI cable to a free port on my test TV, the 55-inch Philips PFL5907.
