The 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek

The XV is about as quirky a vehicle as we can expect in this day and age from Subaru, an automaker that once let its freak flag fly unfettered.

Having been shown already at Japanese and European auto salons within the last year, the XV was not new to most eyes at the Javits Center, but this was the first showing of the version bound for North America.

“As market tastes for crossovers evolved around the world, we saw a gap,” Tom Doll, executive vice president of Subaru of America, said at the car’s introduction. “The XV is clearly our most design-oriented crossover to date.” Mr. Doll identified “young urban buyers” as the XV’s target customers. But with nearly nine inches of ground clearance, equal to that of the larger Outback, the XV could wear a canoe on its roof without effecting the faux-ruggedness of a Brooklyn woodsman.

Though Mr. Doll expected sales of 320,000 Subaru vehicles in the United States this year, up from 266,000 in 2011, he did not discuss what the XV’s contribution to that goal might be.

The same 148-horsepower boxer 2-liter 4-cylinder engine found on the Impreza on which the XV is based. Also sourced from the Impreza are the XV’s 5-speed manual or continuously variable automatic transmissions. Subaru estimates combined fuel economy of 33 miles a gallon.

Showrooms will take delivery this fall of the all-wheel-drive crossover, but pricing was not announced. For comparison’s sake, the Impreza Sport sells in the low $20,000 range.

The Brats, XTs, SVXs and Bajas of yore are not even a glint in the XV’s crossbar grille. Aside from the added ground clearance and matte-black cladding running over wheel wells and side skirts, little would distinguish the XV from an Impreza Sport. For quirky all-wheel-drive kicks, young urban buyers might also consider the Nissan Juke, though they’d probably rather be seen driving a vintage Toyota Land Cruiser.

The advantage:
The 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek comes standard with all-wheel drive. It features a practical mini-SUV design and excellent fuel economy. Voice command includes the ability to request music by name.

The unfavorable:
The XV Crosstrek's acceleration is on the slow side. The navigation head unit's interface can be confusing.

The offer:
Although lacking cutting-edge cabin tech, the 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek covers the basics very well, and offers excellent practicality and easy drivability. Price $ 21,995.00

The GALAXY PREMIER was announce by Samsumg

Here is something new from Samsung smartphone, another thing to look and find out, one of the  latest in phone technology..
Samsung’s Ukrainian website has put up a press release for a new smartphone called the Galaxy Premier that looks very similar to the Galaxy S III and features similar specifications, including a 2100mAh battery, an 8-megapixel camera, and LTE and NFC connectivity. There seem to be two major differences, though: The Galaxy Premier comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean right out of the box and it has a slightly smaller 4.65-inch Super AMOLED display. So far we only know that the Galaxy Premier is being released in the Ukraine in December, so it’s not known whether the device will make it to the United States anytime soon.

The Nokia Lumia 920

Get to know Nokia Lumia 920 before acquiring or having other options..

The Nokia Lumia 920 is the first phone from the Finnish firm to run on the latest version of Microsoft's mobile operating system,Windows Phone 8, with its charming, colourful live tiles and a host of nifty new features.
Nokia has added to this with its own apps for in-car satellite navigation, music streaming, local information and photography. With a great screen and attractive design, is this the best Windows Phone 8 device around?
It's available this month on EE for 4G connectivity or Orange and T-Mobile for 3G. It's available SIM-free for around £445, so expect it to be free on contracts above £35 per month.

The Lumia 920 has been kitted out with the ability to charge inductively. This means it's able to receive power by touching a charging pad, rather than being directly connected to a plug. We've already seen this idea before with PowerMat, but the technology is built right into the phone, rather than needing to add an extra case onto it.
Nokia Lumia 920 colours
The Lumia 920 is running on a 1.5GHz dual core processor, backed up by 1GB of RAM. By top-end smart phone standards, that's not a lot. By comparison, the newly announced Google Nexus 4 boasts a 1.5GHz quad-core chip and a mighty 2GB of RAM. Given that Windows Phone 8 software finally allows for multi-core processing (up to a ridiculous 64 cores), it's a shame not to see the first quad-core Windows Phone 8 handset.

The Lumia 920 is the first of Nokia's phones to sport the latest Windows Phone 8 software, rather than the older Windows Phone 7 you'll find on the Lumia 800. Instead of the multiple homescreens of Android or grids of apps of iOS, Windows Phone brings large, colourful tiles to a scrolling homescreen, each showing live information.

On the back of the 920 you'll spy an 8-megapixel camera. It apparently uses the PureView technology seen in the ridiculous Nokia 808, but it doesn't offer the same whopping megapixel count.
Nokia Lumia 920 back
The 920 is the first phone from Nokia to ride on Britain's new super-fast 4G network. Only EE currently offers the service and it's not cheap -- and only in 11 cities at launch -- but if data speed is everything to you, it's worth checking out.

The Windows Phone 8 experience on the 920 is the same as it is on the HTC 8X. It's fun and easy to use, but the terrible lack of apps in the store make it hard to recommend over similarly priced high-end Android phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Advantage
  • Stunning screen
  • Attractive design
  • Enjoyable Windows Phone 8 software
  • Great Nokia apps
  • Inductive charging pad

Unfavorable
  • Desperate lack of apps in the Windows Phone 8 store
  • Unimpressive battery life
  • Heavy

The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 (2012)

Vehicles are not the same in performance, they provide different speed and comfort. So don't just travel..

Tuned by the American company’s Street and Racing Technology team, they’ve simply taken the standard Grand Cherokee and given it a bigger bite. The previous SRT model came with a fairly large 6.1-litre V8. The manufacturer clearly felt this wasn’t quite giving the car the power it deserved. This time round it gets a 6.4-litre V8 that produces 461bhp and 464lb ft of torque, and makes it the most powerful and fastest Jeep ever. This will power the 2,458kg monster to 0-62mph in just 5.1 seconds.

On sale in the UK: Now
Engine: 6417cc V8, 461bhp@6250rpm, 464lb ft@4200rpm

Why all HDMI cable are the same

What you should know about HDMI cable and its use..

A "1.4" cable is a big misconception, and stems from truly terrible monikers from HDMI Licensing. There are two aspects to HDMI: the cable and the connection. The cable is dumb, just passing along whatever data you give it. The connection is where all the features are. There was a big push when 3D came out that you needed HDMI 1.4 to do 3D. This is true, but "1.4" is a connection spec, not a cable spec. Any high-speed HDMI cable can transmit 3D.
It's probably worth mentioning outright and again that you do not need a special HDMI cable for 3D. And if you want to get really specific, 3D on Blu-ray isn't a higher frame rate on the disc, it's technically a higher resolution. Wrap your head around that one (or not, it's explained in "How 3D content works: Blu-ray vs. broadcast").
The exception is Ethernet over HDMI. If you're one of the few who have equipment that features Ethernet over HDMI, you will need a specific HDMI cable that supports it (it'll be labeled as such).

The offer: "HDMI 1.4" has nothing to do with cables, it refers to hardware (TV, Blu-ray player, etc.) only. So says HDMI.org. There are only four HDMI cable types: high speed with or without Ethernet, and standard speed with or without Ethernet. As you can get high-speed cables for less than a cup of coffee, just get those, with or without Ethernet as you see fit.
