The Samsung Galaxy S4

The Galaxy S4 handset steadily draws from the same design language as the S3, but takes almost every spec to an extreme -- the screen is larger (5 inches), the resolution greater (1080p), the battery capacity higher (2,600mAh), the processor faster (1.9GHz quad-core or 1.6GHz octa-core), and the rear-facing camera stuffed with more megapixels (13, to be exact). But, once you've gone through the

The Philips DS1155 Docking Speaker

The product:
This isn't really a new speaker, for Philips has been selling 30-pin-connector versions of the same unit since April 2011. What's new is the Lightning connector.

The unit, which comes in black or white, has a sleek circular shape and Philips describes the speaker as offering 360-degree omni directional sound. One of Philips' strengths is its industrial

The Beyerdynamic T90

The product:
Introduced in 2010, the T1 has a closed-back design and features the world's most powerful headphone magnets. Those ubermagnets dramatically improve efficiency and lower distortion. Every subsequent Tesla model has had a closed-back design until the T90 reviewed here was released in June of 2012. It's the first open-back Tesla model.

The JVC DLA-X35

The product:
The DLA-X35 is the company's most affordable example ($3,500 list), and even if you ignore screen size, its picture quality also trounces all but the best conventional TVs. Like all good projectors it requires a dark room and a decent screen, but provided those amenities, it's easy to imagine why someone would prefer watching this image over that of any standard-size flat panel, let alone a jumbo LCD.

The Dell XPS 13

The product:
The XPS 13 is back for a second go in 2013, but it doesn't seem to have gotten the "Windows 8 touch" memo. Now has third-gen Intel Core i5/i7 processors, two USB 3.0 ports, and a higher-resolution 1080p screen.
The best -- and worst -- new feature of this XPS 13 is its 13-inch 1080p Gorilla Glass-covered display: it's crisp, bright, vivid, and looks great at all angles. It's a big step up compared to the average laptop, and better than
